[iasmath-semru] Blackboard talks

Dear all,

certainly many of you have noticed during the last month or so
that the quality of our zoom streaming during seminars held at the
blackboard was causing difficulties to people attending remotely: what
was written at the blackboard was sometimes not very legible and I am
aware that some speakers gave up the idea of a blackboard talk for this
very reason.

Our IT staff (many thanks to the hard work of Dario Mastroianni!) has
solved the issue and now we have again HD quality for our streaming.
Dario made me aware that, however, even though the feed of the streaming
is HD quality, you might still see low-resolution videos for "local
reasons", i.e. becase of the settings on your device. I am forwarding to
you a simple set of instructions that Dario gave me to make sure that
you see high resolution videos:

1) While in the meeting, pin the video coming from S-101.
2) Put the meeting into full screen mode.
3) Make sure to set the layout to "Active Speaker view".

I will ask Tony Pulido to remind you of these tips at the bottom of his
weekly seminar reminders and I will also ask our IT staff to prepare a
webpage with a short explanation.

Best and have a nice weekend,
Camillo
