The building will be known as Rubenstein Commons after David Rubenstein, who has graciously donated the funds to construct it. The building was designed by Steven Holl Architects and is being constructed by W.S. Cumby Construction Company. Groundbreaking for the building was in March of 2018 with an expected completion date of spring 2020.

The building will be a two story mixed use building with a basement. The ground, or first floor, will have four meeting rooms (small to large), a bar and cafe with TV’s, a living room with a fireplace, and gallery space. The mezzanine, or second floor, will have a fifth meeting room, and both closed and open office areas. The entire building will have an “open” feel to it - the cafe and part of the living room are two story spaces; the two sets of stairs to the mezzanine are open to their surroundings; and there are windows everywhere.

The basement will house the kitchen space for the bar/cafe, a media room, and an office for staff.
