Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to announce the upcoming workshop "A Quantum Al-Khawarizm 
for Spacetime: A Workshop on von Neumann Algebras in Quantum Field 
Theory & Gravity". The event will be held from August 28th to August 
30th, 2023, at New York University (NYU and NYUAD), located at 19 
Washington Square North, NYC.

The topic of von Neumann Algebras has drawn significant attention in 
recent years, offering promising advancements in formulating a suitable 
language for describing the interaction between spacetime and matter. 
The goal of this workshop is to explore the latest breakthroughs in this 
field, with a particular focus on the role of von Neumann algebras in 
holography and quantum gravity. There will be pedagogical and technical 
talks delivered by leading experts along with stimulating discussions. 
The speakers are:

  * Samuel A. Leutheusser - Princeton University
  * Hong Liu - MIT
  * David Kolchmeyer - MIT
  * Edward Witten - Institute for Advanced Study
