[math-ias] Unexpected service outage on Saturday May 29th

Dear Faculty, Members, Visitors, and Staff,

In the early morning of Saturday, May 29th 2021 around midnight, the Institute experienced a number of short power issues.  This caused an unplanned shutdown of services for one of our main datacenters.  Our staff worked to restore the majority of services by 1:35am.

Later this morning around 5am, our Zimbra email system became unavailable again due to circumstances possibly related to the power outages.  Our staff was notified and worked to resolve the issue by 11am.

During both outages, all new email was queued in our Email Continuity System and has since been delivered to your inbox.  If you have any questions, please contact your IT Helpdesk.

We are continuing our work improve the resiliency of these systems and appreciate your patience.
