Dear All,<br><br>I would like to ask if someone of you will be interested to study representation theory of GL(n) and S_n.<br>Representation theory is probably the main tool to study groups and symmetry. Two most important groups are GL(n) and S_n. Fortunately for us there representation theory is highly related. <br>
I would like to organize a reading group on the representation theory of lie-groups, the goal will be to try to keep things simple( as possible, sometimes it is not very simple).<br>I would like to understand the representations of GL(n). For this reading group it will be better to assume knowledge of basic representation theory. <br>
